Clickstream analysis

Personification has developed a suite of navigation awareness tools that can record and analyze the way people use websites, intranets, enterprise information portals, and knowledge management environments. These tools can provide key information about the different kinds of users as well as their distinctive navigation patterns. This information can also be used to facilitate online transactions for your customers.

Clustering

Clustering is a form of unsupervised pattern recognition that can be used for more effective datamining of both textual and clickstream repositories. Sets of objects (or entities) are organized into clusters on the basis of statistical associations and similarity (proximity) matrices for the different objects and entities.

Personalization Reasoning Engine

As part of its Dynamic Personalization platform, Personification has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) reasoning engine. An intelligent database utilizes a knowledge base of facts and rules describing the personalization logic for a particular application. This dynamically generated logic is then combined with information from a large set of user profiles to produce a wide range of personalization action events. The Dynamic Personalization engine has been tested and proven to work for both an intelligent call handling application developed for a large telecommunications company and for a messaging product developed by Personification.

Mobile Search

Personification has developed a prototype mobile search engine for fixed databases that includes dynamic markup of search results to enable access via an auditory interface or small-screen browser. This search engine can be scaled up to handle hundreds of simultaneous search requests, and can also be enhanced with facilities to do web-crawling and cache results, if required.

Summarization

Personification has developed a text summarizer that performs summarization by means of sentence extraction. The required size of the summary can be defined by the user, and summarization through key-phrase extraction is also available. The summarizer is now being further developed to allow users to refine their summaries according to specific content requirements. Personification has also developed a mobile e-mail system that includes automated prioritization and classification of e-mail, in addition to summarization.

Web Bot

The primary task of our web-bot is to retrieve web-content in the form of static HTML pages, and then pares that content to derive meta-data that can be stored along with the original content in a form easily accessible to our other technological building blocks. The web-bot can also be used as a content gatherer for a meta-search engine. Meta-data is derived by using an hierarchical template-based matching scheme.
